









Tour itinerary: Gondar → Lalibela → Gondar → Semera → Mekele
Day 1: Departure from Gondar to Simien Mountains
At 7:30 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel in Gondar and drive 100 km to Debark, near Simien National Park. After park formalities and collecting our cook and scouts, we will head to Sankaber (3,100 m) for a 2-3 hour acclimatization walk, enjoying views of the mountains and local flora, including the Giant Heather Tree. Overnight at Sankaber Campsite (3,250 m).
Day 2: Jinbar Waterfall to Chennek Campsite
After breakfast, we will depart at 8:30 AM for a hike to Jinbar Waterfall, carrying light daypacks. We will enjoy stunning views of the waterfall and spot various bird species. Following our hike, we’ll drive 40 minutes to Aynameda, then ascend to Inatye (4,070 m) for lunch with breathtaking views. We will descend to Chennek (3,620 m) for the night (5-6 hours total walking).
Day 3: Climb Ras Bwahit and Return to Gondar
We will depart early from Chennek, hiking to Pass Bwahit (approximately 4,200 m). If fitness allows, we will continue to Ras Bwahit peak (4,430 m). After descending, we will return to Debark and drive 2 hours back to Gondar for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Fly to Lalibela
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Lalibela. Upon arrival, you will be greeted and taken to the town. Explore the remarkable rock-hewn churches, including the Church of St. George. Overnight in Lalibela.
Day 5: Return to Addis Ababa and Fly to Mekelle
After breakfast, explore more churches in Lalibela. Transfer to the airport for your flight back to Addis Ababa, then connect to Mekelle.
Day 6: Mekelle to Hamedela via Berhale
Depart from Mekelle and drive to Hamedela, passing through Berhale. Experience the vibrant colors of the Danakil Depression and arrive at Camp Hamedela for an overnight camping experience.
Day 7: Morning Tour to Ragad (Asebo) and Return
Visit local salt mining areas and drive to Dallol to explore volcanic landscapes. Engage with the Afar people before returning to Hamedela and continuing to Mekelle.
