Itinerary: Day 1: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park Begin your safari with a scenic drive from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park. Famous for its stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Look out for large herds of elephants and other wildlife set against the dramatic backdrop of Africa’s highest peak. Day 2: Full Day in Amboseli Spend a full day exploring Amboseli. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, where you can spot lions, cheetahs, buffalo, and diverse bird species. Visit Observation Hill for panoramic views of the park and its swamps, home to hippos and a variety of birds. Day 3: Amboseli to Lake Naivasha After breakfast, depart for Lake Naivasha, a beautiful freshwater lake in the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon boat ride on the lake. Watch for hippos and a variety of bird species, including fish eagles and pelicans. Optionally, take a guided walk on Crescent Island for close encounters with wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Day 4: Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park Leave Lake Naivasha behind and travel to Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its flocks of flamingos and a sanctuary for black and white rhinos. Arrive in time for lunch and embark on an afternoon game drive. Look out for leopards, Rothschild giraffes, and the endangered rhinos, and enjoy the park’s diverse landscapes, from forests to grasslands. Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve Depart Lake Nakuru for the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an evening game drive. The Masai Mara is famed for its abundant wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and the annual migration of wildebeest and zebras. Day 6: Full Day in Masai Mara Dedicate a full day to exploring the vast plains of the Masai Mara. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, with opportunities to spot the Big Five. Optionally, experience a hot air balloon ride at dawn for a unique perspective of the Mara (additional cost). Interact with the local Maasai community and learn about their culture and traditions. Day 7: Masai Mara to Nairobi After a final morning game drive and breakfast, depart for Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. Reflect on your incredible safari as you transfer to your hotel or the airport for your onward journey.
