FLEXIBLE DAY BY DAY ITINERARY: Day 1: Antananarivo – AntsirabeUpon passing through customs, look for our representative holding a sign with your name and our logo. They will assist you through the arrival process. We will then embark on a scenic 4-hour drive along National Highway N°7 to Antsirabe. Along the way, we will take breaks for landscape photography. Upon arrival in Antsirabe, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, where you can also purchase fresh food and drinks for the adventure ahead. Please inform us of any food allergies so we can cater to your needs.Overnight: Royal Palace Hotel.
Day 2: Antsirabe – Tsiribihina River (260 km)We will depart early in the morning for Miandrivazo village, a 4-hour drive from Antsirabe. From there, we will continue to Masiakampy, which involves a 1-hour drive (20 km on a good road, 11 km off-road). At the river port, you will board your private motorboat, accompanied by our crew (1 cook, 1 captain, and 2 crew members). Once all preparations are complete, we will cruise down the Tsiribihina River. During the journey, enjoy diverse landscapes, including forests and wildlife such as whistling ducks, egrets, herons, helmeted guinea fowls, and crocodiles, as well as glimpses of local fishermen and farming villages. Lunch will be served on the boat, featuring fresh local cuisine prepared by our cook. After lunch, we will continue our journey, spotting deciduous forests that shelter various lemur species as we pass through the gorge.We will take a break at “Anosin’Ampela,” a stunning waterfall with a natural blue pool where you can swim and observe wild lemurs, including Brown and Sifaka.Overnight: Camping on the riverbank, with dinner served on the boat.
Day 3: Tsiribihina River – Begidro Village – AmbatomisayAfter breakfast, we will continue our cruise through a gorge adorned with limestone rock formations. Our first stop will be the largest village along the river, Begidro, where you can learn about the daily lives and culture of the local farmers and fishermen. Lunch will be enjoyed riverside under a large mango tree. We will then arrive at our second camping site on the opposite bank of the river. Before dinner, our crew and local villagers will join us around the campfire to share traditional songs and dances.Overnight: Camping in tents.
Day 4: Tsiribihina – Belo Town – BekopakaAfter a hearty breakfast, we will continue our river journey for a few hours until we reach Belo Town, where we will have lunch at a local restaurant. Following lunch, we will embark on a 4-hour off-road drive to Bekopaka village, crossing the Manambolo River by ferry.Overnight: Aurchidée Hotel.
Day 5: Manambolo River – Visit Big Tsingy Bemaraha National ParkAfter breakfast, we will head to the banks of the Manambolo River to begin a canoe excursion into the gorge, including visits to ancestral tombs known as Vazimba, and a climb into caves to see stalactites and bats. A guided visit to the Big Tsingy of Bemaraha will follow, located 17 km from the hotel, with a professional English-speaking local guide. The visit will last approximately half a day, featuring the rock forest, hanging bridges, stunning viewpoints, and canyon caves. A picnic lunch will be provided in the park. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and explore at your leisure.Overnight: Aurchidée Hotel.
Day 6: Bekopaka – Baobab Alley – MorondavaEnjoy breakfast at the hotel before we depart for Belo village, where we will have lunch after a long, dusty journey. We will then cross the Tsiribihina River by ferry to Morondava, stopping to see the famous Baobab in Love and enjoy the sunset at Baobab Alley before heading to Morondava town.Overnight: Laguna Beach Hotel.
Day 7: Morondava SurroundingsToday is a free day to relax after your adventurous journey. Morondava, the largest town in the Menabe region, boasts beautiful beaches along the Mozambique Channel, perfect for swimming. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to explore the town, including a visit to the local market.Overnight: Laguna Beach Hotel.
Day 8: Morondava – Flight Back to AntananarivoAfter breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Antananarivo, concluding your unforgettable adventure in Madagascar.End of our services !
