Exploring Northern and southern Ethiopia Tours

Tour itinerary: Addis Ababa → Bahir Dar → Gondar → Lalibela → Semera → Hawzen → Jinka

Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa
Arrive at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. Enjoy a city tour, including the National Museum (home of Lucy), Holy Trinity Cathedral, and Entoto Natural Park. Overnight in Addis Ababa.
Day 2: Flight to Bahir Dar
Morning flight to Bahir Dar. Take a boat trip on Lake Tana to visit Zege Peninsula monasteries. Explore the local market and Weyto village, and enjoy views from Bezawit Hill. Overnight in Bahir Dar.

 Day 3: Drive to Gondar
Drive to Gondar, stopping at the Blue Nile Falls. Tour Gondar’s Royal Enclosure (Fasil Ghebbi), Debre Berhan Selassie Church, and King Fasilides’ Bath. Overnight in Gondar.
Day 4: Flight to Lalibela
Fly to Lalibela. Visit the famous rock-hewn churches, including Bet Medhane Alem and Bet Giyorgis. Experience a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony in the evening. Overnight in Lalibela.
Day 5: Lalibela & Flight to SemeraMorning visit to the second group of churches. Flight from Lalibela to Addis Ababa, then to Semera. Overnight in Semera.
 Day 6: Drive to Erta Ale Volcano
Start your journey into the Danakil Depression. Evening trek to Erta Ale volcano to see the lava lake. Overnight camping near the crater.
 Day 7: Drive to Dallol via Lake Asale
Sunrise visit at Erta Ale. Travel to Dallol, the hottest inhabited place on Earth, to see colorful sulfur springs and salt flats. Overnight in Hamed Ela.
Day 8: Drive to Hawzien (Tigray Region)
Drive through Afar and Tigray landscapes. Visit rock-hewn churches like Wukro Cherkos or Abraha Atsbeha. Overnight in Hawzien.
Day 9: Climb Abune Yemata Guh & Flight to Addis Ababa
Hike to Abune Yemata Church, known for its frescoes. Transfer to Mekelle for a flight back to Addis Ababa. Overnight in Addis Ababa.
Day 10: Flight to Jinka (Omo Valley)
Fly to Jinka. Visit the South Omo Research Center and Ari tribe village, then drive to Turmi, home of the Hamer tribe. Overnight in Turmi.
Day 11: Visit Karo Tribe & Drive to Jinka
Visit Karo village, known for body painting. Scenic drive back to Jinka via Dimeka and Key Afer. Overnight in Jinka.
Day 12: Visit Mursi Tribe & Flight to Addis Ababa
Morning visit to Mursi village in Mago National Park. Return to Jinka and fly back to Addis Ababa. Enjoy a city tour and farewell cultural dinner before departure
