


Tour itinerary: Arba Minch → Jinka → Turmi → Jinka
Omo Valley Ethiopia
Day 1: Fly from Addis Ababa to Arba Minch
Upon arrival at Arba Minch Airport, you'll be greeted and transferred to your lodging. After check-in and breakfast, we will head to Dorze Village, located high in the Gughe Mountains. Here, you'll witness the iconic beehive-shaped huts and experience the vibrant culture of the Dorze people, renowned for their weaving and traditional dance. After this immersive cultural experience, we will return to Arba Minch for a late lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely stroll in Arba Minch Forest Park, surrounded by lush greenery. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 2 :Lake Chamo – Konso Village – Turmi
After an early breakfast, we will embark on a boat trip on Lake Chamo, renowned for its “crocodile market.” Here, you’ll have the opportunity to see hippos, Africa's largest crocodiles, and diverse bird species. Following this excursion, we’ll travel to Konso for lunch, then explore Konso Village, a UNESCO World Heritage site noted for its unique generation poles, which signify the village’s history. After our visit, we’ll drive to Turmi, a journey of approximately four hours. Overnight at a lodge in Turmi.
Day 3:Kara Village and Nyagatom Tribe
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Kara Village, home to a small community known for its picturesque setting along the Omo River and the artistic expressions of its children. Following this visit, we will proceed to Nyagatom Village, with a round trip taking about three hours. In the afternoon, if conditions permit, we may witness a bull-jumping ceremony, an important rite of passage for young men. Alternatively, we might visit a Hamer village. Overnight at a lodge in Turmi.
Day 4;Dassanech Tribe and Journey to Jinka
In the morning, after breakfast, we will drive to Omorate to visit the Dassanech tribe. Please ensure you have your passport, as it is required for crossing the border into this area. After our visit, we’ll return to Turmi for lunch before heading to Jinka, approximately a two-and-a-half-hour drive. If time allows, we may visit the Jinka Museum or an Ari tribe village in the late afternoon. Overnight in Jinka.
Day 5:Mursi Village and Departure to Addis Ababa
Early in the morning, we will journey through Mago National Park to visit the Mursi village, famous for its women who wear large clay lip plates and men who adorn their bodies with intricate patterns. After this cultural immersion, we will return to Jinka for lunch before departing for Addis Ababa.
