Larkya Peak Climbing is an exhilarating adventure that takes you to the summit of Larkya Peak, standing at an altitude of approximately 6,249 meters (20,502 feet) in the Manaslu region of Nepal. Here's an overview of what to expect:
Before embarking on the climb, thorough physical conditioning and acclimatization are essential. Proper gear and equipment, including crampons, ice axes, ropes, and helmets, are necessary for the ascent.
Itinerary
Day 1; Drive to Maccha Khola 930m (3,051ft) on a local bus or private jeep - 7-8 Hours
Day 2; Trek to Jagat (checkpoint) 1,410 m (4,626 ft) – 6 Hours
Day 3; Trek to Deng 1,800m (5,905ft) - 6 Hours
Day 4; Trek to Namrung 2,660m (8,727ft) - 6 Hours
Day 5; Trek to Samagaon, the closest village to Manaslu Base Camp - 6 Hours
Day 6; Acclimatization day at Samagaon, Hike to Manaslu Base Camp 4,400 (14,436) and Birendra Lake (3,450m).
Day 7; Trek to Dharmasala 4,470m (14,665ft) - 6 hours
Day 8; Trek from Dharamsala to Larkya Base Camp, 6 hrs, 5,160 m /16,929 ft
Day 9; Trek from Larkya Base Camp to High Camp, 5 hrs, 5,600 m / 18,372 ft
Day 10; Summit Larkya Peak (6,249m/20,501ft) and back to High Camp, 8-9 hrs
Day 11; Extra Day for climbing due to bad weather
Day 12; Trek from High Camp to Bimthang, 5 hrs, 3,590 m/11,778 ft
Day 13; Trek from Bimthang to Dharapani, 8 hrs, 1,860m/ 6,102ft
Day 14; Drive from Dharapani to Kathmandu, 10-12 hrs, 1,300m/ 4,265ft
