The tour starts with a tour to the largest stupa in the world, Boudhanath, and the well-known Swayambhunath stupa, which is perched atop a hill. Both Stupas are significant locations with religious significance and are held in high respect by Buddhists.
The world's largest unique construction, Boudhanath Stupa, has had a significant influence on Tibetan Buddhism since the 1950s.
Swayambhunath Stupa, popularly known as the monkey temple, has historical records indicating a stone engraving from the 5th century.
Additionally, Kopan and White Monastery are two of the well-known shrines with the finest vantage points.
Itinerary
Boudhanath stupa: We start by visiting the Boudhanath stupa, where the pigeons' cooing and grunting will greet you, together with the wonderful smell of incense. Upon reaching the Boudhanath Stupa, a divine aura will usher in a state of serenity for people's souls. You are welcome to participate in the Kora ritual.
Swayambhunath: After that we pay a visit to the famous Monkey Temple, Swayambhunath temple. Perched atop a hill, this historic temple offers a captivating panoramic view of the Kathmandu valley. You can take part in religious rituals like lighting the butter lamps and feeding the pigeons.
Kopan Monastery: Taking a leisurely walk around the monastery compound, and you will not only have an incredible view of the Kathmandu valley, you will also see several stupas, statues, prayer wheels and other holy objects, all embedded into a landscape of gardens and ponds.
White Monastery (Gumba): At 1500 meters, this stunning monastery offers a breathtaking perspective of the surrounding mountains as well as the magnificent valley. This location features magnificent gardens and architecturally stunning buildings decorated with religious artwork and murals. This serene setting is ideal for unwinding and practicing meditation.
